New mascot + wordmark for product community

Some of the ideas developed for an altered wordmark and mascot, a cute gender-neutral blob oozing charm and friendliness. The brief was for something sweet, that looked similar to an illustration previously used. It also needed some work to combine fonts and create a new wordmark logo for the community.

I also did work on identifying and augmenting fonts to produce a wordmark, and warming up the colour palette to improve aesthetic and accessibility.

Two of my favourite iterations from the project, with muted colours:
Two iterations - a rounded blob with a shadow, clutching a heart on the left - and a floating bean-shaped mascot cuddling a heart with both hands on the right.

Here are different versions of the mascot, with the final colours, going from pea-shaped blob through to more slender floating bean.
The blob furthest to the left is pea shaped with a shadow. Over the five iterations, the blob becomes bean-shaped with increasingly soft curves, and loses the shadow underneath - as well as the legs.

The wordmark includes two different fonts, with amendments to the shapes (especially the q, to add the playful swoosh underneath).
